● A Hopper dryer positioned at the head of the injection unit is mainly used to eliminates the moisture content from the plastic material. It comprises two major parts which include a Hopper Dryer Blow Fan and a hopper control panel.
● The Hopper Dryer Blow Fan blower intakes the required quantity of atmospheric air and this air pass through the heating cylinder which contains the Hopper Dryer Heater Coil.
● In raw material processing, the Hopper Dryer Heater Coil blows consistent warm air on the material to reduce the moisture.
● And the temperature gauge attached to the heating cylinder provides us an accurate temperature value of the material which is present inside the hopper.
● It is essential to use the dryers because neglecting to use it may fail to consume the moisture that may create some defect in the product.
● The hopper control panel contains the blower switch and the hopper switch to control the function of the hopper dryer alone. Then through the lower cone, the plastic material reaches the base sight glass without any moisture properties.
